Welcome to the Hawk Owls' class page.

I'm Mr Mead- Hawk Owls' class teacher.

If you have any questions or problems, please don't hesitate to pop in.

Below is a 'Long Term Plan' for the next academic year, including the different topics we will be studying.

Spring Term 2

This term's topic is 'James and the Giant Peach'. I have attached a topic web including what we will be learning in Numeracy, Literacy, Science, Geography, Art/DT, RE, PSHE, PE and ICT.

Timetable, Homework and Spellings

Below is the timetable for Spring Term 2, including the days we will be doing PE (Monday and Thursday). Please could you ensure that your child has their PE kit in all week as we may have other opportunities for PE during the week. Forest school will take place each Friday. Please ensure that your child has appropriate clothing as we will go outside whatever the weather.

I have also included the homework for this term. Homework is due in every Thursday and can be completed in the homework books that have been provided. New spellings will be given out at the beginning of the term, with a spelling test taking place each Friday.

Peaches today, peaches tomorrow...

Below is a link to the fractions problem on the homework page. For guidance, when teaching your child how to find fractions of a quantity, we divide the number by the denominator and then multiply by the numerator. Good luck!

JAPAN DAY!

We had lots of fun reproducing famous Japanese art work, multiplying using straws and making sushi rolls. Some enjoyed the hot wasabi sauce; others not so much! :)
