Remote Learning

At our school, we believe that children learn best when they are in the classroom with their teachers and friends. For this reason, all pupils are expected to attend school in line with our attendance policy.

However, we understand that there may occasionally be circumstances where attending school in person is not possible. In these situations, we will consider providing remote education so that pupils can continue their learning from home.

Remote learning may be provided in situations such as:

  • When we decide that opening the school is not possible to do safely

  • When opening the school would be contrary to guidance from local or central government

  • When individual pupils are temporarily unable to attend school but are still well enough to continue learning, for example due to an infectious illness

Our aim is to ensure that pupils can stay connected to their learning and maintain progress, even when they cannot be in school for a short period of time. We will always communicate clearly with families about the support and resources available if remote learning is required.
