Recent Events
This term got off to a great start with the arrival of our very own swimming pool! The 10m x 6m above-ground swimming pool, housed in a marquee and heated to 30.5°c, has meant that every child from Y3 to Y6 has benfited from an intensive course of high-quality, flexible swimming lessons without the time and expense of travelling to an off-site facility. Our Year 2 children have also taken part in sessions to boost their water confidence and practice some key skills.
The progress that the children have made has been incredible: from our most nervous and inexperienced swimmers to those who were already proficient, everyone has improved their technique, built their confidence and, importantly, had lots of fun!
Trips, Events & Experiences
At our school, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Trips, visits and hands-on experiences play a vital role in enriching our curriculum, broadening children’s horizons and supporting their personal development. Whether exploring local places of interest, welcoming visitors into school, or taking part in themed workshops, these opportunities help bring learning to life and deepen pupils’ understanding of the world around them.
We aim to offer a wide variety of experiences throughout a child’s time with us, ensuring they encounter memorable moments that spark curiosity, build confidence and nurture important life skills. At the same time, we are mindful of the financial pressures families may face. We carefully plan our programme of trips and experiences to maintain a fair balance between providing valuable enrichment and keeping costs manageable for parents.
Our commitment is to deliver meaningful, exciting opportunities for every child—experiences that support both their academic journey and their growth as confident, well-rounded young people.
