Well this term seems to be speeding along and we're now over halfway through.  We hope all the new starters have settled well and are enjoying their new school and making new friends.  I hope this extends to the parents too and you have all been made to feel welcome and part of our local community.  If there's anything you're unsure of, you know where to come - pop into the office where we will try to help or put you in touch with someone if we can't.

Next week sees the Year 5 and 6 children embarking on their residential trip to Osmington Bay.  We hope the weather is nicer to them than this recent weather.  I'm sure whether they're wet or dry they are going to be enjoying all that Osmington has to offer.  There are many activities planned for the children and we will update parents via SchoolPing each day on what they've done and how they all are.

Some of our Year 5 and 6 children took part in a Football Festival at Malmesbury Red Bull Pitches last week.  They all had a great time with the boys team finishing in 4th place.  Well done to all the children who took part, thank you for representing our school.  These events are a great way for the children to meet children of their age from other local schools.  These are the children they could possibly be with when they join their secondary school.  We would love to see more children taking part in these sporting events, it's great for teamwork, confidence and self-esteem.

Our breakfast and after school clubs are up and running - a fantastic success with more children attending each week.  If you are interested in finding out more about this wrap-a-round care, please pop and see us.  The children have taken part in a wide range of activities so far with many more planned as the term progresses.  Come see what it's all about!
