We firmly believe that all pupils should learn from an early age how to administer first aid and we have been using external bodies to teach our children for many years now. We want to help our pupils to stay safe and save lives in emergency situations. It will ensure that from the day they learn their new skills, we have a new culture of first aid, with a whole generation of children growing up with the skills and confidence to save a life.
Watch our video above showing Simon from Wiltshire Air Ambulance training our pupils.
We have had a defibrilator installed by our main school door which is available for the local community to use in the case of an emergency. Our Hullavington Schools Association fundraised to enable us to purchase the defibrilator. We held defibrilator training for the school community and our local community led by Sharon from South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.
